Havila Kystruten (Havila Voyages) is a Norwegian shipping company headquartered in Fosnavåg with approximately 550 employees. We have a social mission and an agreement with the Ministry of Transport that forms the basis for our operations and daily activities. In cooperation with the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association, Havila Kystruten is offering an 18-month Trainee Programme starting August 2026. This programme is designed to provide hands-on experience, giving trainees direct exposure to innovative projects and dynamic challenges of the maritime industry.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you with great will and potential for further development, and who are looking for a career in the maritime industry. The ideal candidate has completed a master’s degree and has some relevant work experience in one of the following areas: Information technology, digitalization, economics, HR, communication, logistics and strategy. Candidates with international experience, studying or working in different cultures are encouraged to apply. To succeed in the position, you need to be passionate about sustainability, be self-driven, have a positive mindset, good communication skills and identify with our vision and values.

Work location: Primarily at Havila Kystruten’s head office in Fosnavåg, but also presence at our branch offices in Oslo and Hammerfest.
Home office by arrangement. Travel activity must be expected, including presence on board our ships.

Start date: Autumn 2026 and by further arrangement.
